You might change your direction
Reading through the Bible you’re going to see acts of courage, sacrifice and boldness through people who were imperfect. You might find yourself in the middle of the stories from a long ago and might just change your direction and the way you are currently living.
It might change your daily operations
You might start thinking differently. You might start acting differently. The people that are in your life and around you will think that you are acting contrary to the way the world expects you to act.
Your relationships might be affected
You will start seeing how you can impact other people’s lives and not how they can benefit you. Your daily scripture reading will impact your relationships and give you a whole new level of influence on your relationships.
You will realize you are not perfect
Through reading you notice that God uses imperfect people. You will see that Redemption and restoration is in your life. You will see that there are many stories of in imperfect people like idol worshipers, murderers and adulterers that God has used to fulfill his plan.
Your character might change
You might be inspired to change the world around you and be an active spokesperson on behalf of those who are mistreated, hated and oppressed. You won’t be doing these things because you’re trying to be better but because of your encounter with God.
You might start imitating God
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children Ephesians 5:1
You might find out what your next step is
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path Psalm 119 105
You might protect yourself from sin
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you Psalm 119:11
You might get courage
Keep this book of the law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go Joshua 1:8 9
Your Bible reading might be contagious
But who’s the light is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose Leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers
